The ZaPF views null results[[#NC1|¹]] as natural byproduct of proper scientific research. As such, they are not waste, but have scientific value worth protecting and preservating. Even though they are not the final conclusion to a topic, they may be of valuable help to future projects. We want to further their recognition as a product of thorough scientific research.

Of particular importance to this goal is the scientific community’s proper access to null results. Thereby, scientists can profit from experiences made by their colleagues and avoid following the same inconclusive paths. This saves resources and is therefore in the interest of every participant in the research process.
